An agreement reached between a company and an employee to cease their work activity before the legal retirement age, providing them access to social coverage, either through unemployment or by advancing the amounts the worker would receive if they continued working. It is currently used in many countries to replace non-specialized personnel in the labor market, reduce the workforce of companies in structurally troubled sectors, or enable the labor insertion of new generations.
